Sculpting with Polyurethane Spray Foam for Props and Art Pieces

Polyurethane Spray foam can be used as a sculpting medium to create almost anything—any size.

The images below demonstrate that the team creates a base from wood, steel, chicken wire, foam strips, and foil see tree below . Spray polyurethane spray foam is then sprayed to the base building it up where you will be shaping your prop and then allowing it to cure fully.

Polyurethane spray foam can be, carved, sanded, and ground. As seen in these images of the giant bee, the polyurethane spray foam has been covered with polyester resins, allowing for weather protection, and easily creating surface textures in many shapes and colours.
